I did the storyboards for a 20 min short film called Surviving Sabu that was directed by now features director Ian Iqbal Rashid.
Working with the director and DOP we worked through the script and I quickly and roughly sketched out the shots – I drew up shooting storyboards in more detail within 48 hours. These were created with pen and spirit markers in shades of grey.
The film went on to win Special Jury Prize, Zanzibar International Film Festival and the Jury Prize, Vancouver Out on Screen Festival in 1998.
