I offer a range of digital marketing services under the business name of Makersby and specialise as a content strategist. You can hire me for single project or on a retained basis as an extension to your own business. I have a great deal of experience working within digital marketing agency environments across a wide range of business sectors over ten years. I have particular experience working with retailers, designer makers and estate agency.
In addition to freelancing I work full-time during the day as a digital account manager for a digital marketing agency. Communication by email, web chat or phone during evenings or early mornings is the best time to catch me. I have every other Friday free so I can arrange face to face meetings, or day time conference calls on those days if needed. All jobs quoted for are based on the scope of a project. Blog Management - I will plan a content calendar and publish regularly to your blog to an agreed number of posts per month. This activity may require me to write content and source /edit imagery or it may require coordinating a group of writers within a business to write for the blog. It could include aspects of sharing content to social media and writing social snippets. Will likely include developing content themes and a monthly content calendar.

SEO Copywriting: SEO functional content e.g. Meta tags, Heading Tags (h1 etc), writing for SEO blocks (headers /footers) for eCommerce category/filter pages.
Copywriting for a full website - Writing content for titles and body content for each page of a website. Ideally require wireframes, a site prototype or some briefs to take this forward.
Content Strategy - Plan the content and structure for a website based on user needs, business goals taking into account best performing content and benchmarking against competitors. This can be then used to create wireframes of your website as a next task by your designers.
Advertising Copy - Content ideas for strap-line on highly visible graphics or other ads.
Content Performance Analysis - I can give you an in-depth report into the performance of (secondary) content on your site. Will need access to Google Analytics with enough historical data.
Email Marketing Content - I can help you create and schedule your email based on an existing template or adapting templates from an email provider. This includes writing and editing imagery.
Keyword Research - Identify keywords for your business to build your website, target customers in search engines and monitor search rankings for.
Website Audit - This includes a review of performance with recommendations and from an SEO (search engine optimisation) perspective to identify opportunities and spot weaknesses that maybe impacting visibility in search and the user experience.
Develop Personas & User Journeys - Based on a workshop with you to better understand your customers. This can help inform your plans for digital marketing.
Reporting & Analytics - I can help you set-up analytics tracking, goals and also create automated reports to give you the insights you need. If you want additional tracking of rankings this will be an extra cost as it requires some specific technology.
Benchmark Analysis - Based on a well categorised set of keywords, this analysis identifies competitors and publishers that rank best for certain categories or business areas and identify what they do well and not so well that can inform digital strategy, content and design.
